In place of investing all of your money on one product but spread it around a little. All of your big car companies do it and their affiliates. Let me give you some examples.

I dont know if stupid is the way to describe something you dont understand. There is a huge distinction between the two if you are in the market to buy one. Have you ever been in one of each or even set two side by side? The interior is different, and the body style is completely different. The engine, drivetrain and chasis are about the only thing that are alike. Its no different that Honda and Acura, or when Chrysler and Mitsubishi made the Talon and Eclipse.
