Question:
I have a line on a 95 Chevy Cavolier asking price below blue book value for 'good' rating. The motor sounds good on it and it shifts good. The seller had fixed a tube leak to the transmission, and I didn't see any leaks after driving the car. Body is in good shape but clear coat is pealing off. No rust spots. It has 146,000 miles on it.
Any opinions on this car. All wanted so speak up.

I've driven them, rented them, had friends that owned them, etc. No glaring issues. Not fast, not agile, not quick at braking, not particularly good mpg, doesn't really stand out as a leader in any particular category, but still quite reliable. If the price cannot be passed up, then jump on it.

However there are other more reliable, safer, comfortable choices out there. In the same year, and possibly same price range, you may want to consider a used Toyota Corolla or identical Geo Prism, Honda Civic, VW Golf or Jetta, Ford Escort [Mazda-built] or identical Mazda 323, etc.
