Check the gap on the spark plug, it could be to close to the electrode to get a spark, if its not that the wire could have gone bad, this is all assuming the motor is turning over, also the only way to tell if the plug is going to fire after removing it is to ground it against the engine block, if you dont do it properly you might assume its not firing.
