What are the biggest tires I can put on my Toyota Tacoma 4X4.?
I don't rely on JD Power Ratings, I read customer reviews. In my own opinion, I think the WRX is a great car indeed!1996 Chevy Silverado wont start when it has rained outside??
In 2004, the sti was named car of the year by some major company, although i'm not exactly sure who. They haven't changed much, so I think they are good cars. The sti has a lot of performance for the money. They also have awd, which makes their handling more superior.Forget JD Power and Associates. They're corporate jerks who take money from GM anyway. Look at the cars they typically like: GM.
If you want an impartial comparison of cars, look at Consumer Reports, whose findings are based on in-house, unbiased testings (well, "unbiased" is a funny term. They seem to hate the way trucks drive, for instance), and from CONSUMER responses. That means, people who own the cars gripe or laud their vehicles.
Both subie's are excellent cars. I've never known a subie owner to hate their car. I used to drive a ford, loved GM trucks, and then I drove a WRX and have never looked back except to laugh at another American car in my rearview.
My car's 2 years old, smokes porsche's, tows a trailer, and plows through snow with no problem. Oh, and I put a full grown, 200 lb saint bernard in the back (it's a wagon) with no problems (he liked it better than my truck because there's more room). Add to that that I get cheap oil changes (no major lubricating with AWD, unlike 4wd, until you hit 30k miles) and about 30 mpg on the highway.
Forget JD Power. They don't know anything at all. Drive one yourself and you'll love it/them.
What modifications should i do to my 2002 mazda protoge5?
WRX's are awsome. I personally don't have one, since the deals on the Mazdaspeed 3 are too good for me to pass up. However, I live in florida now so the AWD isn't really a big benefit for me. However, the WRX is a terrific car. I have a friend who had a 2002 model and crashed it (not the cars fault, he's retarted), and another friend with a nice new 2006 model. The AWD makes these things great in snow, and they have very impressive accaleration. The 05 model you are looking at has the 2.0 liter turbo, so you can expect quite a bit of turbo lag below about 2700 RPM or so but once you get the REVS up these cars are a rocket. Excellent performance buy.theyre awesome cars. They drive well, theyre fast, and handle very well. Not to mention theyre also very very practical.
The STi is a better car though. Not only is it faster/handles better/whatever, but it also has a better motor (2.5L turbo vs the 2L), and a more durable tranny. The 2.0L's tranny had a tendancy to be rather weak, but the STI fixed most of those problems.
that being said, dont buy a modified one. If its been modified, chances are its been ragged on hard. Many young racer boys buy them and just beat the hell out of them (me included, but im relatively gentle)
I drive a 1998 Mazda Millenia 2.5L, do I really need premium gas?
go with the STI and forget JD Powers its a great car. What is the bolt pattern for a 1977 Chrysler New Yorker?
I know that the stis are amazing cars, my friend is planning on getting one and he has repeately told me all about it. They are supposedly very reliable too.The 2005 subaru STI and WRX is the same car as the 2004 so if your looking to save go a year older. As far as the car goes, The STI is everything but a bad car. Some basic features are a 2.5L turbocharged boxer 4 engine ( i love the boxer 4), stock brembo brakes, stock 17'' BBS rims, an awesome intereior, the best AWD in the business, and also the spoiler which has been engineerd for the car. As far as the WRX, im buying one in a few weeks, it is an 02'. In my opinion the WRX is for the guy who wants an STI but maybe cant afford one, or wants to build the speed on his own. Still a very fast car and will smoke just about any honda or mitsubishi on the road (excluding the evo). Hope this was some help to you and good luck with your search
How much is the 2008 dodge challenger going to sell for?
I've found JD Powers to be seriously off compared not only to personal experience, but also compared to all the other reliability surveys I've come across. Reliability surveys from the UK, from ADAC AutoMarxx in Germany, from the Automobile Association of New Zealand as well as from Consumer Reports (which I've found is fairly accurate) all put Subaru at or near the top of the list in terms of reliability. Everyone I know who owns a Subaru speaks highly of the brand's reliability. In short, a 2005 Impreza should be a very solid and reliable car. However, I would be cautious about buying one used if it were driven hard.
1998 Corolla CE mileage on car: 120K +?
Go for the sti .. its like a bullet on 4 wheels! Are VW's just as expensive in Europe(poland in particular) as they are here?
jd powders my balls suck. i forget where but i read a article on how the subies get somewhat low scores cause of it's nonconformed look. look at the facts, safety(top scores), reliable(top scores), performance(top scores) resale value(top scores for 7 years). as far as i know, every person who bought a subie loves their car like crazy. that in itself says alot. do your research and take it and smack your brother with the facts(JOKE HE'S JUST LOOKING OUT FOR YOU, SO HE'S A GOOD GUY) but do smack the jd powder my balls guys. ahhhhh. sorry everyone, i just can't stand those self glorified jerks. i'm going to do what they did, make up a company and start giving ratings on companies and make big money..hmmmm good idea, whos on board?!!The problem with JD Power ratings is how unfair they can be on their ratings. They don't really distinguish between a rattling body panel and a panel that's developing rust. Both are in the same category, but one is a very small problem, and the other is not.
Bottom line. Get the Subaru.
