Does anyone know how to replace the brakes on a GMC Sierra?

I drive a 1997 GMC Sierra 4x4, and the brakes are squeaking. How do I replace them? Is it easy to do, or should I have a shop do them? Thanks

Like anything, it is easy to do if you know what you are doing!
I would have a shop do them as the consequences for brake failure are very high!

You would be better off and a lot safer to take it to the shop if you have to ask how to do it. brakes are very important and are not to be done by someone that does not know what he is doing.
