I want to turbocharge my saturn ion but put 600+miles each week.I would like to get to 200hp.Any ideas?

Although I too am always skeptical of catastrophic reports from an auto repair shop, it may be true in this case. Assuming the shop did actually measure the oil pressure and found it low enough to turn on the oil pressure light (about 5psi) at other than start up, you do have a big problem. The sludge buildup itself is less a direct problem than it is an indication of poor lubrication resulting in worn bearings, oil pump, valve train and cylinder walls. Get a second opinion. If the oil pressure is normal, mom got a reprieve. Start changing the oil at 3months, regardless of mileage, or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first. Sorry and best wishes.

I,ve got vw golf e sdi 51 reg iand i dont know what is mk4 or mk3 does any body knows?

Toyota Trucks?

Anyone will tell you that engine oil is the 'lifeblood' of the vehicle. At 60,000 miles and never an oil and filter change.Yes, there can be sludge buildup.Maybe not much. But it is still there.Have a reputable repair garage or Lube outfit like 'Jiffy Lube' do an engine flush and an oil and filter change. Then have the oil and filter change done at every 3000 mile intervals.I have a 1988 Chev. Celebrity at 184,500 miles. It neither burns nor loses oil in between O&F changes.

VW mechanic?

your mom is an idiot and you dont sound much smarter. you pay all that for a car but wont spend $25 for an oil change every 3k miles. I mean thats what $500 over 6+ years? Her car is gonna blow up and its gonna cost way more to fix it.

Fiat Punto 1.2?

btw go look up toyota and oil sludge and see what happens. those people had problems even if they did change the oil.

Where can i find a cup of beergrouting rayforum?

Dude...you haven't changed it in how long? Yeah, you're going to have much worse problems than engine sludge, all your engine bearings are probably messed up which means you're probably suffering a massive power loss. Keep it up and your engine could very easily throw a rod. Then your engine will be total junk.
