Could y'all please post your suggestions, including pros and cons, for each car, and which car would you buy?
I read the consumer report for Lexus IS 300 the other day, and it was rated 4 of 10. Does that mean its not really a very good car compared with the other two?

The Lexus is one of the best vehicles made, but keep in mind that the IS is a sporty sedan as opposed to the ES which is more of a standard sedan. I have driven both and to me, the IS rocks. Of course I drive an RX350, so the Lexus car is going to seem smooth. None of the cars you list are bad, but the Lexus is in a class by itself.Is driving a standard car really that difficult?

Which do YOU like best? Drive them all. I can't imagine a Lexus ever doing poorly. They're all excellent cars, but the Integra and Prelude are gone...how old is the IS you're comparing them to?It might boil down to which you can find in your price range. Being that they're all Toyota or Honda, they all rock, but do you want more creature comforts (lexus) or cheap tuning pars (most likely Acura or Honda) for performance? The IS can do everything, honestly, but it's spendier.

Integra is older model and I am sure most are beaten up pretty bad by now from the kids owning them. A RSX would be a better choice here for it is just the next generation of the Integra with a name change. Good cars, simple, basic Honda/Acura.
Prelude, good car, nice, but again older.

Lexus IS, best out there, period. The 4 out of 10 either was an error or low due to lack of information due to fact car is new to the market.

It really comes down to what you can afford. Prelude first cause it will be in the $9k range, then the RSX and that will be in the $16k range and then finally IS, used 30k, new 36k+.
Volkswagen gti or volkswagen golf?
Out of the 3, only one I would stay away from if I had to choose..Prelude.
