Hello- has anyone out there had transmission trouble with their 03 Jeep GCL? I think one might be starting on mine and wanted to see if anyone had similar trouble. I have about 55k on it now. Thanks!

My husband and I both have jeep GCL's. Mine is a 2001 and his is a 2002. We both had to have our transmissions replaced at 60K miles. I'm now at 80K miles, and its going back into the shop today for yet another transmission issue. Fortunately, the new transmission came with a 3 yr, 36000 mile powertrain warranty. I'll never buy another chrysler product. Ironically, when my transmission was replaced at 60K, they said at the dealer service place that it was extremely unusual for the jeeps to have transmission issues, especially at that low milage. Funny, though, that 9 months later, our other jeep had the same problem! And since then, I've spoken to numerous jeep owners who have had the same problem. Guess its more common than one might think.Does anyone know if the ML350 Mercedes a good car to own?
i have a 2004 gcl after 45000 miles i have that knocking voice when i use my rewards shift. i went dealer service but they just changed filter and oil of the transmission . Now i have same voice plus service transmission light .my company leases jeeps since 1998 all loredo's with the 4.0

all had trans replaced or serviced, we drive these jeeps at least 100-200 miles per day in a lot of city traffic.
I really think that the trans is a defect but Jeep is not saying anything.

my jeep started to show signs of trans problems when I had about 50-60 thousand miles, I changed my trans fluid and filter, when the mechanic removed the trans pan there was a 2"-3" piece of metal in the pan with little teeth on it, it must of been from the trans.
ever since then i changed my trans fluid one more time when I had 100000 miles, I now have about 110000 miles the motor runs really strong but every now and then she doesnt want to start in first or second, I have to manually start in first then second then drive, this happens sometimes not all the time, maybe once per week?
Does anybody own a 06 Lincoln LS? How do you like it?
