Question:
I seriously needed a car yesterday since my car sucks so I bought a 1999 honda civic with 140,000 miles for 3,500. Its clean and runs great. Generally speaking, do you think i will encounter problems with it any time soon due to high mileage??

It sounds like you got a good deal and considering it's 8 years old thats not high mileage and hondas are very reliable cars. I would sugest that you try to find out how well it was maintained. At around 100,000 or so it should have had the timing belt checked and possibly replaced and as long as you do regular services done that car will last you a lifetime.2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Air Conditioner?
This is NOT high mileage for a Honda... Usually just breaking in at 100,000 miles.. I've seen many Honda's run 300,000 miles or more..When I drive with my defrost on my Jeep, why do i get condensation dripping off my A/C stuff?
You should check the Kelly Blue Book or NADA to see what the Retail value is.. $3500 seems a bit high.. Although I haven't checked the book on it. Civic is generally the lower end of Honda. I drive an Accord and love it. 140,000 miles is only 15,000 a year. Thats a little less then the average miles per year.
