We have a 2003 mitsubishi eclipse which is making a gurgling sound when in higher RPMS what is it?

It has 119,000 miles, havent ran the car fax yet. Mechanics can't figure it out! Comes from the passenger side, gurgling sound in the turbo/engine possibly. When it is bearing load it makes the sound worse in the 3rpm range and when idling it doesn't make the sound. Nor does it make the sound when you gun the ignition in park. Weird? YES!! All checks have been made with the computer everything seems to check out! Anybody Please ;)

You got air trapped in the heater core. Nissans do it, Chryslers do it, any car with a large dashboard area and a centered hvac unit (heater core and evaporator core located directly behind / underneath the radio) will experience this at some point, especially after a cooling service. Mitsubishi may have a tsb or a special tool to aid in bleeding the system. Nissan requires you to raise the front wheels and run the car at 2500 rpm with the special tool. Chrysler's method is different. But if it sounds like water, it's the coolant. Pinch of both the heater hoses and see if the noise goes away. If it does, there you go.

My S-10 does that when the coolant level gets low. It gets air bubbles trapped inside the heater core. Let it cool off and remove the radiator cap, fill all the way up and put the cap back on. Then check the overflow tankl and make sure its up to the full mark.
