I have a jaguar 4ltr sovereign, when does this become a classic car, its a 1989 model?
If your car is equipped with the 3.0L 12-valve OHV V6, I am almost 100% certain that your cam sensor and synchronizer need to be replaced. To completely eliminate the belt as the source of the noise. Remove the drive belt and run the engine temporarily. If you still hear the squeaking noise, that eliminates the belt, or anything it drives as the culprit. Due to the posting of your other question, I am confident this is your problem. The cause of this symptom, is sludge buildup inside the body of the synchronizer, causing it to seize up and produce the squeak sound extremely similar to, and most oftenly misdiagnosed by independent garages unfamiliar with Fords as a belt noise. Read my answer to your other question for more information. One very important thing to add, is that this part has to be "timed" or installed in the EXACT original orientation, failing which driveability issues WILL result. What is thr price of Hero Honda Activa? And in Delhi, which dealer to Buy?
Well you can't tighten a belt on a 02 Taurus it has a tensioner so all you can do is replace that which depending on miles may not be your problem, i would try some brake caliper grease (not alot just a finger tip) on the belt, if the noise goes away replace the belt. Will a set of rims off a honda prelude fit a ford escort?

How much does it cost to get a performance exhaust on a vw and is worth it?
rakel is correct.. just listen where the noise seems like it's coming from... if it sounds like it's on the passenger side (belt) or if it sounds like it's coming from near a plastic tube that goes between the motor and the box that holds the air filter (cam syncronizer)More Questions & Answers ...
