Question:
We bought this Explorer used and need the code for the keyless entry on the door. The owner's manual says you have to get the code from the module or from the dealer. The dealer wants $32.50 to give me the code so I want to find the module. Please Help. Thanks.

How much dose an m5 cost to rent for two days?
What gearbox1 said, and I would like to add a couple of details to help you identify the module. There are three electrical connectors to this module, coloured grey, green and blue. On the module is a decal with a number similar to 5L2T-15K602-AA, which would be the part number of the module. There are also FIVE large numbers, which is your five digit keypad code. Again, as gearbox1 says, the other replies refer to 2001 and older model year Explorers. Hope this helps. How do I get sponser. 2000 Civic SI - Black?
the pcm may be on the left side of the car in the engine bay. there will be three big connectors on it. you still need a scan tool to pull the code and for fords most of the time it has to be a for scan tool, if you use a after market Scan tool you run risk of burning up your pcm. if i were you i would pay the money.Who are the manufactures of Rover and what is there email adress?

More hp out of a 97 gmc sierra with 350 vortec?
It will run about $20 or so. Then you will have all the info from where the module is to when to do your tune ups.
Ok the module (It's called a VSM or Vehicle Security Module) is under the right quarter trim panel in the back.. you will have to remove weatherstipping on the right passenger door, the sill plate for that door and the lower seatbelt (It's a T-45 or T-50 Torx bit) to access the trim panel enough to see the numbers you ask about on the module.
How about those 2008 ford 250s? are all the kinks worked out of them yet?
Instead of tearing everything out, the dealer will scan it with a scan tool and retrieve it electronically for that price.
