for most applications a well-designed turbocharger system will be much more efficient. Turbo systems can even get past the lag problems with anti-lag systems. Unfortunately theyre expensive and arent very suitable for the street.
for some specialized applications (where lag needs to be avoided AND reliability needs to be kept up), supercahrgers are better.
