the vettes may not be the most refined cars out there, but they are getting better. The c5s felt cheap, and just werent refined in general, but the c6s are 10x better. Granted, theyre still behind much of the competition in terms of feel.

That being said, their performance isnt anything to sniff at. The z06s are serious, seriously amazingly capable cars. the c6 is also a great car.

If you want performance:dollar ratio, the c6 is pretty much the best car on the market (outside of maybe an elise/exige or miata, but theyre for different markets. The WRX STi and mitsubishi EVO are also great cars). They also have monsterous tuning potential. The LS series motors are amazing.

Corvettes bring BIG money. The value of a decent Corvette can run you well over $100K and they just increase in value. Try and buy a '67 big block vette in #1 condition. They are for serious collecters. I was in the market last year and discovered that I could MAYBE get a small block possibly only a 300hp(dog) for over $50K. Not good enough for me so I bought a '69 SS bb Camaro. Get a Corvette black book and a price book. Check out the auctions. These cars will never go down in value whereas your BMW's and other, ahem, foreign cars DEppreciate. For the money in a fast proformance car the Corvette is the top of the line. Its used the same push -rod engine since the first one rolled off the line. It beat the overrated viper because of the setup. Rear end gear ratio beat the viper. Just goes to show you that old school can be better than anything new.Is the hyundai coupe a womens car?

The Corvette has never advertised itself to be a Cadillac (I guess you use Mercedes here, but whatever). It is defined as a muscle car. Muscle cars are all about speed, and nothing more. I drive a 1999 Z28 by choice. The car rattles, the windows leak, it chugs gas like an alcoholic at happy hour, and it is getting rough to climb in and out of (not as young as I once was), but I drive it because it is fast. I bought it for speed, not for its eligance or grace.
