Will leather seats from a 2002 accord ex fit in my 1998 civic ex?
Mercedes has been doing a great job of blaming Chrysler for it's problems (in truth, Mercedes has destroyed Chrysler). Since they're planning on selling Chrysler, they may as well keep up that pretense and tell people their problems will go away when Chrysler is gone. That's fine for the public, but internally, they must face the truth that their own incompetence has destroyed the brand. They need to fix the basic problems with the cars:1994 ford tempo 3.0 v6 5spd looking for a tranny?
1) They need to include maintenance people in the design process. the 123, 124 and the 201 Mercedes were a joy to work with. Durable and easily fixed. By contrast, big engines are now shoehorned into tight engine compartments with little thought to how service will be accomplished. Electronics is impossible to diagnose, and fails often. Transmissions are unimaginably complex.
2) They need to get Bosch under control. The fact is, many of Mercedes' problems are really Bosch's problems. Computers, switchgear, wiring harnesses, would be of unacceptable quality in a Kia. Having these sorts of problems in a Mercedes is beyond unacceptable.
3) Extend warranties for customers who have been disillusioned by the last few year's lemons. Some of them may be beyond retrieval, but some would be persuaded to come back if they are treated right.
4) Move production back to Germany. If the cost increases, that's actually to the better. This is a prestige brand, people will pay up for the perception of quality, but will expect the reality to match the perception.
Fix my back door on fiat punto?
Sorry, Doc, there's actually nothing wrong with the V6's, nor are they the root of evil. The only problems with these engines are the disintegrating crank dampers (which are a supplier's problem) and the sludging problem, which is simple to avoid by using synthetic oils.
NOPE.
the car is worked out near to perfection, Mercedes Benz expend a lot of money on car's designer and engineers every year.
construction and technology, hand by hand.(high cost of production)
top of the line marketeers for advertisement,( but, that is only the final approach/ appealing to the market.)
How much does a tire guy at firestone tires in biloxi make?
Put engineers back into Managment, and get rid of Chrysler, and the V6 engines. Go back to the 1980s model engines and improve on fuel savings. What can you tell me about this turbo kit?
the biggest thing they can do is back up their cars. when you hear things like: "A silver $1.7 million Mercedes-Benz roadster is "the mother of all lemons," says L.A. auto dealer Mark Johnston. So he is suing Mercedes-Benz and DaimlerChrysler for a refund of the purchase price, plus $300,000 in related costs."A mercedes dealer SUING mercedes benz for an $1.7 million dollar supercar that mercedes will not fix.

Chrysler has destroyed the company. I see 1970 mercedes on the roads nearly everyday... 400,000 miles-not uncommon, but when they started getting greedy, the problems came with vengence.
Its almost like everytime an american auto company puts its hand in anything, the quality hits rock bottom. Volvo is a perfect example. The 80s volvos would probably tie toyota and honda for reliability, today, the company isnt even a contender. Ford stuck its hand in it, and as a result, the company produces lemons by the thousands.
So they need to break all ties with chrysler.. they need to get off the american greed and start using higher quality materials in the build. They need to close down their plants in the US and mexico and return them to germany. They need to start backing their cars. How can a company like kia offer 10yr/100,000 mile drivetrain warranty and charge under $17,000 for their cars, but mercedes, an average vehicle price in the $50,000s offer a 4 yr. / 50,000 mi drivetrain warranty... they cant even be taken seriously.
Its time for them to go back to the olden days. Instead of designing and producing a car in 6 months, how bout they test out their cars for a longer period so the kinks can be worked out... then when you sell them in america, they end up with the reliability of a lexus.
