Question:
I have a 2002 Ford Explorer and I have a few problems. Im curious if anyone knows what these problems could be and if anyone has had a similar problem. First problem is when accerlerating on colder days there is a whistle that comes from what sounds like under the hood. It only happens when accelerating and not when im stopped. Second. when i hit the gas pedal there is a hiss sound that is coming from inside the vehicle. When i turn to blower for the heat off I can still hear it. Its not coming from the window because i barley move and I can still hear it. Any ideas?

What is a good price for a 2006 pontiac G6 GT fully loaded with 25k miles.?
It sounds like you have a vacuum leak of some sort. You must have the 4.0L SOHC V6 engine in it. Sounds like either the rubber intake gaskets or a collapsed PCV hose is the possible source of the sound you describe. The fact you describe the sound most noticeable when cold is what makes it almost certain as well as your description of its location.why does car whistle when I accerlate?
Check for disconnected or cracked vacuum lines.More Questions & Answers ...
