i own a repair shop and i always find some good used one from a junk yard ,usually they,ll get them in from a wrecked car,and any 305 will fit it ,it doesn't have to come from a camaro any Chevy 305 will fit right in it,but try to get a low miles one if possible,it would last a lot better,good luck i hope this helps.Yea , at the boat dock. 350 will bolt right in and witha litle remapping on the computer WOWSWA YOWSA TORGUA AND HP OUT THE WAZOO

id rather get a 350 in that thing, for one 305s are junk. a 350 camaro will run a 305 camaro anyday. im droping a 350 lt1 in my 96 camaro.. 350 has way more horse power. i have a 1987 305 and it has 176 hp and 225 tourqe and a stock 350 can have 300 and up!!Does any body have a radiator for a 1996 Scorpio 2.9 Cosworth in the midlands area?

There is no such thing as a good 305. They are junk. Don't waste your time or your money. Find you a good 350 from a salvage yard, or check your local newspaper. The 350 is an awesome all around for your car. Don't destroy a good car by putting a boat anchor in it. LOL!!

Anybody that said a 350 instead of a 305 is dead on the money. The 350 is one of the most reliable and durable motors that Chevrolet makes. The 305 just can't cut it under high RPM'S, the rods and the cam are way weaker than the mighty 350.More Questions & Answers ...
