Stay away from those supposed "performance chips" for the most part they just advance the timing on the engine and won't net you much. When it comes to engine managment spend as much as you can to get the best stuff.

Use Hondata and the like to begin with much more flexibility with mods and you can use it for tuning when you get into FI or a built up NA motor. Plan your build long in advance to save yourself money (no point in blowing money on NA stuff if you go FI).

But start with the basics if your looking for bolt ons...I/H/E and go from there. And if you don't have an SI don't worry the new R18 motor makes pretty good numbers turboed (enough for the street that is).

If this is a Civic Si, I'd say a turbo kit or supercharger. Nitrous is not on all the time so I say blah to that. Exhaust, intake, and chip are probably only good for about 5-15 whp each at best...unless their super restrictive then you may get a tad more. So if you're looking for the most hp for your car, then you need to go forced induction. Staying with just simple bolt on performance parts will not net you much in the end. You may feel it, but in the grand scale you'll add with intake, headers, exhaust and chip like 30 whp.

If it's a regular Civic...I'd recommend not modifiying it because you'll never really be fast enough to compare to even a regular Civic Si. You started out so low and as said before, the money you spend on bolt ons will not get you much.
