it could be a fuse issue, the fuse box is under the hood or dash.
i have a pontiac sunfire 2000 2.2liter?
Check the fuses. They are usually located right next to your left foot if you are sitting in your car in the US, Other side if you are in the UK. The burned one will be easy to spot. Hers a link to a pic of a blown fuse.http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/im...
you can definitely do this one on your own.. sounds like a blown fuse. Find your fuse box (it may be in the back seat on the '01) pull each the fuses until you find the one that looks burnt in the middle. There may be replacement fuses in the box as well.

you have blown a fuse, check the owners manual for fuse box location and it will tell you what # in the fusebox controls the windows, mirrors, and door locks.we locked the keys for our car in the car...any ideas how to unlock a ford focus without the keys?
If you do not find any fuses blown. I recommend checking for wires broken in the door hinge area. Also could be a problem with the driver door module which could be checked out by the local GM dealer.how much fabric does it take to make inserts for a 2004 ford mustang?
It is NOT a fuse, there is NOT a module. It could be a partially broken electrical supply wire in the hinge area. With the door closed, hold the window button in the down position while you open the door slowly. If it starts to work and stop,it is the wire.
The first place I would look is the connector at the switches.

i doubt it's a fuse, possible corroded wire or bad terminal. most likly a bad switch or BCM. on that car the window switchs are concidered modules (computers) and they communicate with all the other modules thru the seriel data line. if thats your only problem i'd be checking the power and ground to the DDM ( drivers door module(switch)) the easiest would be to hook a scan tool to the vechicle and see if you have commincation w/ the DDM but I doubt if you have one. . I have seen a problem with the conector going into the drivers door having a bad terminal causing either no power or ground to the DDM.I'd stongly recommend taking to a professional, it will be cheaper than replacing parts. it's probably a wiring issue.More Questions & Answers ...
