Front diff leak?

Question:
the front diff is leaking from the rear seal on my 04 ranger 4x4. and i got a feeling that the dealership will pull their same old same old "uh warranty doesnt cover this" so how much should this cost to fix.

Answers:

What kind of car do you drive?

Front diff pinion seal. Quite common on Explorers and Rangers. As long as you are within your 3 yr./ 36,000 mile warranty period, there is absolutely no reason why this shouldn't be covered. You need to verify your WARRANTY START DATE, not the vehicle build date through the Ford OASIS check, to ensure you're not past the three years, if you are at less than 36,000 miles.

On a hondata s200, where do i conect the interface box to the ecu and what colors go where?

i own a repair shop, and it sounds like a pinion seal on it total cost for this job would be around 65 bucks parts and labor it only takes around an hour or less to do this ,so its not going to be bad,but if you go to a dealer it might be, id have this done at a small shop, you,ll save a lot, good luck i hope this helps.

I heard that Toyota was going to discontinue the Rav4 is this true.?

aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh! ford's they seem to be the one's with the most seal problems, if you got some tools and a little know how grab a $10 seal and do it yer self, i have an 2001 f450 service truck that love's tranny seals as do my 2000 expedition loves rear transfer case seals, just drop yer front drive shaft get that pinion nut off pop out the old seal with a seal puller(preferred)or small pry-bar and then carefully put in the new seal, it's a tight fit and has to be tapped in carefully, i use a mechanic's hammer and tap the edge going around in a circular motion till it's in, be carefull not to damage the seal and get a good made in america or canada seal as i cheaped out a couple a times and paid for it i have had no problems since i used a quality brand seal, i change a lot of seals in the run of a year working on heavy equipment and it isn't that hard of a job that ya got, good luck, here's hopin it's still under warrenty.

Why is the all-new amazing Nissan Bluebird targeted at women?

The first 2 answers are perfectly correct. The Ford dealership should cover it however if they decide to get a "burr" up their rear and tell you its not covered, the part itself it very cheap and the labor should only be about $50 max plus the cost of gear lube and the $7(max)seal.

What is the cost of Maruti swift Diesel VXi on road, chennai?

Do it yourself for the cost of a tube of form-a-gasket (about $8.00) at your parts store, and some gear oil. Should never have another problem, my suggestion though is to do the same to the rear differential at the same time, cause it will eventually do the same thing because of the cheap gaskets that ford uses.
