I had an 2006. Its functionally a great car, but is a little underpowered. The 2008 will have a bigger engine and redesigned front.

We have a 2005 Ford 500 and it is really a nice mode
of transportation as we have vacationed in Co. and Fla.
since we purchased it and it has the power and confort
of a more expensive car . I think list was around $27000
when we got it and with 30000miles on it I am quite pleased.
A side note that I have always been a GM person..
i am not an owner. i am a salesman for ford. i personally LOVE the 500, but wish it were just a little bit more appealing for the younger market. great ride, and for those that find them to be 'a lttle underpowered' did ya drive the CVT? hp is about more than just gross numbers. it's how ya get the horse power to the ground that is important. the CVT is simply a nicer transmission than even the 6-speed auto. can't wait for the taurus to come out, will be a little more refined, and a nicer ride to boot.
