How many others are having trouble with getting this car fixed. It seems that I have to return to the dealership every 2-3 weeks for a repair. I had it checked just a month a go, now its leaking cooliant--I have to get a part replaced. I was told all is well then I check my self its not.

I won't insult your intelligence by calling your car names. The 2000 Focus was plagued with problems right off the showroom floor. Brakes, doors and even some electrical issues just to name a few. They're also very prone to breaking ignition locks which are very expensive to fix. These are in theory great cars, in Europe they are one of the best. The US versions are made in Mexico (the three doors) and at the Wayne Assembly plant. This plant had a lot of labor issues when that car was being built. My advice is to do a little research on your Focus and make sure that it gets maintained.When buying another car, don't just assume that Toyota is the best either. Their quality has been slipping as of late and so has Honda's. Ford's Fusion has a very good rating with customers, for example. Research what car would be best and not just because it looks good or the price is right.
