Am I RETARDED?? I mean until now the newest vehicle I have owned was a 94 Z24 and until now I have NEVER owned a Ford... My car is a v6 stick... Where is the clutch fluid Resevoir??(I know I totally mispelled that!) Does it even have one? Please help.excuse my ignorance I feel totally stupid considering I change my own oil and do my own tune ups!! LOL

So far the ONLY two correct posters are lengendimestang and tritonmods. There is no clutch master cylinder on a 2001 Mustang. It uses the simple old fashioned, self adjusting type cable clutch. Every other manual transmission equipped Ford product (from Focus to F650/F750) uses a hydraulic clutch. The 2005 to current model year Mustangs also now use a hydraulic clutch. it is right on the other side of the firewall, the rod goes thru the firewall to the clutch pedal, it looks just like a brake master cylinder.

Your car has no clutch master cylinder. The clutch is cable actuated and has been for a long time on the mustang. You can adjust the cable by pulling the clutch pedal up with your foot and then slowly pushing the pedal to the floor.I need advice for replacing the gauges on my car?
There is no clutch fluid as this system is cable driven. the adjustment is done automatically with a regulator AssemblyI haven't been able to find it either, so I sold my Stang.

As the other Ford techs said, it's a manual clutch (cable driven).. only work that has to be done basically is every oil change just pull up on the back side of the clutch pedal one time with your feet and you'll be fine (as it adjusts the tension on some of the mustangs for the cable... )How do you disable the driver or passenger seatbelt reminder in a 2006 Volvo S40?
