Why have Toyota stopped producing/selling sporty type cars in UK ?

Question:
I always like the MR2, the Celica and the Supra. and had my mind on eventually getting a sporty type from Toyota.

Are Honda Civic Si's readily available?


Now it seems they only make/sell family type cars, the eco Prius, a couple of executive types, jeep type and work vehicles in the UK.

Whats your favorite Mercedes?


It can't be a "fuel" type of decision to why they stopped... some of their range are guzzlers.

Anyone noticed all the new Fords have a lot of chrome on the grills?

There is a new Supra due to be released soon, it will have the same running gear as the big Lexus, V6 petrol engine and electric hybrid technology aswell. A friend of mine has just been on a Toyota training course and said if it comes out, it will be awesome.

AUS - Hyundai Excel?

They will sell whatever sells well and brings in a profit. They withdraw models if not popular, eg Toyota Camry saloon no longer sold in UK so it is not just sports cars that are withdrawn from sale.

DISC BRAKES?? ceramic OR Semi-metallic?


They would probably produce 3 wheelers if selling them made a good profit!

its the same here in the usa all been taken off the market. if you go to toyotas website they are going to be releasing newer more sporty vehicles and i suppose thats why they pulled them on the assembly line to start making better sports cars
