Question:
The transm. problem occurred same time as electrical failure due to rain leak from windshield into dashboard. Dealer fixed electrical, said transm. wasn't related. Diagnostic reported bad front control module so replaced, but transm. still same. Diag. reported body control module bad, so replaced also, but still transm. not fixed. Dealer says diag. reports yet another problem, so will contact Chrysler on Tues. Couldn't the electrical outage have some connection with this problem? How to fix and who to blame?

My two Grand Caravans Trans. went out at 83-85kWhen the dealer rebuilt the trans. the trans harness had some of the wire break when they remove the trans and it cause a short that burned up 5 trans computers. The trans wouldn't shift out of 1st. Had to drive with the engine reved to 5000 all the way to the dealer

Check with a local Transmission Repair Garage.I am sure that these items are weather proofed already.It just may be a coincidence.Although the Overdrive switch in dash may not be weatherproofed.Hard for me to say for sure.More Questions & Answers ...
