Where can I buy the aux cord so that I may play my ipod on the radio? Also how much does it cost?
Go with the 347 if your going for 400 hp naturally aspirated. D.S.S. offers good kits, short blocks, and long blocks. Go with forged internals (pistons and rods), and top it off with a good set of aluminum cylinder heads, AFR and Trick Flow offer good performance for the money spent. Talk with your engine builder or a camshaft company about your engine to select a good camshaft. Finally, if you leave it fuel injected, get it tuned on a chassis dyno. This will optimize power, driveability, and efficiency. Its gonna take some money and high rpm to get 400hp.Ford offers a number of street legal crate motors that will meet your needs. They are certified and have a 3 to 5 year 30,000 50,000 mile warranty. This would probably be your best bet. Go to your ford dealer and ask them for their performance catalog. you can then select the crate motor that you want. they come long block or short block. That's was I did for my brothers 63 fairlane. 550 HP out of the box. 2400 for the motor.
What do you think about Honda Civics?
You can get the 400 hp from a good roller 302 . After that its just money .0-60 Time for 4th Generation Trans Ams/Camaro?
I think the 347 is the most popular kit on the street for the small block FordGo for the 347. Everything else being equal More Cubes==More Power. If it was me I would rip that panzy 302 out of there and build a 427 Clevor.
leave this one alone..35 years of building motors and cars ..never heard of a power adder..you had better stick to what you got..is 400hp gonna run on 87 octane gas look at your investment..you spend 10 grand you sell it for 4 grand it will only take you one before you stop doing that stick to paint wheels and some rumbling pipes when you sell it you might get your money back or even more
