Do you own, or have you owned a VW Cabrio?

If you don't "work the other end", that is, the intake side, you might not get any more horsepower.

Think of your engine as a long tube, with a mouth (the air filter and intake manifold or carburator) a stomach (the engine) and a.well.you know..the exhaust header and muffler.

Is GM stupid?

You need to open the WHOLE tube, not just one part of it.

60 HP is a silly number in any event.

Think about ram air intake as well as headers and that *might* get you somewhere near 25 HP kinda sorta. Depends on your engine and its displacement as well.

Torque is about displacment, horsepower is about *breathing*.

I like a woman with specs!! 60 does seem high for just headers or manifolds..Didn't see any numbers on that site..Just keep in mind HP is RPM related..Torque is the thing that sets you back in your seat..I can't believe I'm posting this

You can easily get 60hp with the rite intake, Edlebrock makes all kinds of itakes. A stock Edlebrock intake would probably only give you about 20hp, But if you got a dual quad high rise you could easily get 60hp. If your truck is a 99 it has multiport fuel injection, I recomend not changing the intake. If you want more power you should probably get a cumputer chip, you can achieve the same effect with less money.

Does ne 1 know where i can find an owner's manual for a 1996 silverad extended cab?

Just changing the exhaust manifold?? You might see a 2 HP gain. you will have to open the exhaust to see a real gain. And open the air intake system as well. To get 60 HP more you will have to do some engine work, like heads and cam.

Which Kind of car engine is better. Twin Cam? or VTech?

Is this an Intake manifold(beer barrel) or exhaust manifold(headers)? You can't really use an edelbrock intake manifold since its not made for fuel injection. Unless you do some custom work and spend $$$$. And no it won't get you anywhere close to 60 hp. Lookin at maybe 15-20 hp. If your getting a new intake manifold the only one made for your truck is an M1 intake manifold made by mopar. You'll want the 2-bbl version instead of the 4-bbl version(meant for supercharged or stroked out engines). They have jacked the prices($600) on them so you might just want to port your stock beer barrel. Or check ebay they pop up there every once in a while.

Who Would Win?

you should only get about 5- 15 you will get more with the whole thing not just the manifold
the cat will not let it flow any faster. whith a full cat back you will see about 45
