I want to buy a used mercury Sable however, there is a gurgling water sound behind the dash.?

Question:
I'm not certain what year it is but the body is in great shape. It has 85000 miles it and runs great. EXCEPT I hear this faint water gurgling sound behind the dash when I just touch the accellerator. Does anyone know what this is or what to look for?

Sounds like you have some air in your cooling system. You may need to flush it anyway and that would take care of it.

it probably has an air pocket in the heater core, or the core is becoming restricted from dirt. I would recommend a good coolant AND heater core flush, and you should be good to go....
