Does anyone know how to get the radio out of a 2003 BMW 525i?

Question:
The display is screwed up and I have to try to fix it or replace it.
There's missing segments on the display and I can't read what is being displayed.
I also have a similiar problem with the display on the instrument panel.
Any help will be appreciated...

you don't specify what radio unit you have, but from your description, i'm guessing you don't have navigation, and you have a MID (multi-information display).

Any Nissan Maxima owners? 00,01,02,03?

1. pull the volume control knob (the one you push for power) straight off. it is friction fitted.

3. when you pull off the volume control knob, under the knob stud, there is a tiny detent. insert an allen key into this and twist it approximately 90 degrees. this should release the MID on the left side.

Where is the instrument panel fuse box on a 1998 mercury sable wagon and which fuses go in which slot?

4. simply fold out the MID display as the left side comes out and sort of pivots on the right side. then disconnect the wire harness by folding out the lever and it will push the connector off the MID unit.
