I want to learn more about my 97 Mercedes C-280 that came with no owner's manual without having to buy one.

Well, in the insurance's eyes, it is not a sports car. It may look sporty, but it really isn't it's not like it is super or turbo charged. A sports car is like a Corvette, the Monte Carlo doesn't even come close to one of them. Just show your mom insurance quotes for a Monte Carlo and then show her quotes for a Mustang or something that is really considered a sports car and she will see the difference.

99 Pontiac Montana trans problem?

the monte carlo is a two door coupe, not a sports car. a sports car is designed compact and low to the ground with oversize engine capable of over 140 mph. the monte carlo can't do more than a 110 fully stripped with a stock engine. it can go much faster, but needs a specially equiped engine designed for speed and power.
if used for racing, it can go up to 225 mph on a track. with special equipment for racing.
most race stock cars, are really just a body clamped onto a racing frame and engine. very few monte carlos were ever used as stock cars for racing or as funny cars on drag strips.

86 Lincoln Towncar battery discharges overnite. Where to start trouble-shooting?

Hell no..
Sporty looking, but not in perfomance. Nice rental car here at National. It's not a bad choice for a first car.

I have a 1993 Jeep Cherokee. The motor will not exceed 2000 RPM even if I stomp on the gas. Whats wrong?

no..not at all.....in the beginning a monte carlo was just a luxourious chevelle.....although some were pretty sporty over the year,s none were considered a true sport,s car..not even with the super sport option.

Better motor to build?

well that all depends on which monte carlo you get there are three diff models to choose from you have the Earnhardt addition that is supercharged and that is diffidently a sports car and then you have the SS edition with all the trim and duel exhaust and that is a sports car and then you have the LX model which isn't considered a sports car, so two out of the three are considered a sports car

It's not. A TRUE sports car has only two seats, and the ins. is expensive.

1997 Escort 4 door - temperature and fuel gauges are not reading correctly?

Its a sports coupe. Its not a full on sports car because its front wheel drive and its big. If you are getting a Monte from the 80's than yes it would be a sports car because is has a V8 with rear wheel drive. But any Monte from 96 to present is just a sports coupe.

Is the new zen estilo better than swift?

as a member of a monte carlo owners website, i'm going to say no. It's a 2-door sporty sedan. Since you didn't say what the year was i'm going to guess it's 00+ (6th gen). Also look at some 5th gens (95-99). Or if you want something that is like a monte except with 4 doors, get a Lumina LS or the coveted LTZ if you can find it!

How many O2 sensors does a 98 Eddie Bauer Explorer have?

The Monte Carlo is a sports luxury coupe...like the Buick Regal and Olds Cutlass.back in the days, these cars could fit the same engines as Corvettes and Camaros. The 86-88 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupes are considered sports cars...but these cars were meant to be driven at 2 miles per hour...so everybody can see you...the newer Monte Carlos are just bigger Impalas with rear wheel drive...it depends on the trim, the LT is tame...the SS model is all souped up looking but the engine is so anemic...I would'nt worry about it.
