The new model is scheduled to be out in 2009-2011. Generally they bring out the new model in 7-8 years intervals. Thats a tough decision if you wanna buy a 545i (e60). just remember that 5 series depreciates very quickly, do if you plan selling it in 2009, you're gonna lose some money. Best time to get a 5 series is when they are 4-5 years old. The price is perfect and the car is perfect also. Good luck ;)

BMW just did several very small mid-year styling changes on the 5, I doubt that they will completely change it anytime soon. Don't wait around, get it! They're fun, I drove a 530 and was impressed, the 545 would be even better. You can always trade it in on another when they do change the styling.

Jeep Commander?

545i has been replaced by 06' 550i which give you more HP. The 2007 550i has the newer transmission shifter and slightly change on the rear lights. No redesigned model being announced at this moment yet.
