Ive got a vauxhall astra 1.8 16v and im wondering would it put a challenge to a vectra 2.5 V6?

Well, even though a Vectra has more horsepower and torque, it also is bigger and far heavier than a Vauxhall Astra. Your. Astra may be not as good in speed as a Vectra, but as a racer you should know that size isn't everything. Your Astra is smaller and lighter so cornering and acceleration is better than a Vectra. Since I an in the USA, I can't own a Vectra or Astra (well Astra not yet since the USA will have Astra under Saturn in 2008 since them and Vauxhall are both in General Motors), I still simulated that race with my Gran Turismo 4 game on the Laguna Seca course and won a 3-lap race by 0.915 seconds against my mother ( I chose her to compete as she was a former racer and I was a racer (not touring cars but great reputation in shifter karts) and both knew the PS2's steering wheel controls I was the Astra 1.8 coupe-not tuned- and she was the Vectra 2.5 coupe-not tuned-). If this was so, I am sure that in real life, it may be more or less of a margin on a technical race circuit still your Astra 1.8 16v can pull off a win against a Vectra 2.5 V6. however on a oval track, the Vectra is likely to win by around 2.5 seconds to your Astra due to top speed (Vectra's 185km/h vs Astra's 168km/h) unless adjustments were made in the gears for more top speed.
