Question:
Ok why I ask this is because whenever I see a previous model S-Class sedan (early '90s-early '00s type) and the windows are rolled down it looks like the glass is 3/4-1" thick judging from how wide the frame is on the inside edges of the doors. The only practical purpose for super thick glass I would imagine would be for bulletproofing, yet this seems to be the same across all S-class sedans I see. Anyone know about this and if it is so, what's up with the thick glass if its not for bulletproofing? Lower NVH perhaps?

When and why did Audi stop making the A2?
It's actually two panes of glass separated by a vacuum(sound does not traverse a vacuum), hence less noise is transferred inside to the driver. What do u think is a better allaround car chevy or ford?
