i have a 1978 ford 4x4 runs great. 400ci lots of after market parts 38 inch super swampers and minor rust. ___ i have been offered two jeep cj's one is a 1984 with lots of rust and has some ignitions problems and the other is a 1987 cj7 it is in great shape the only problem is it need a new ring gear it is chewed up.. one is a hard top the other soft... is that a good deal ? they are getting harder to find

I would say that the 84 is worth about 1200 and the 87 is worth about 4000. So, do you think that your 78 ford is worth 5200? Assign monetary values values to each vehicle and go from there.Your 78 Ford is pre-computer, that makes it worth keeping almost by itself. It will also be more valuable later on as those year jeep models are prone to various reliability problems. Only a good deal if that is what you want, otherwise keep the Ford.
