What do you mean? Of course it would be a bad idea. It would put you in the same category as the people that seem to think that it's OK to throw their cigarette butts out the window when they are done.
If I'm not mistaken, virtually all vehicles have an ash receptacle for paper and cigarette butts and... even cotton balls.
It's not hard to get into the habit of doing the right thing.
