All states have adapted the rule that motorcycles are allowed in the carpool or HOV (High Occupancy Vehicle) Lanes.Even if there is only one person on the bike.
Sometimes there are just so many benefits to riding a bike.

when i was living in PHX AZ yoou could and am sure you still can ride in the carpool lane i think that they would perfer you to becouse there it would be safer than riding in the regular lanes all the time my advise is to check on the law were you are on the carpool lane but yes you can hope this helps in some way .....THANKS HAVE A GOOD DAY!what do you do in these kind of situations?
I'm pretty sure it is universally acceptable for motorcycle to be driven in the HOV lane. HOV started out (if you really want the details) in the mid 1980s to relieve traffic congestion. It was based on the principle that wheels mattered. So a motorcycle with 2 wheels was HOV while a car with 4 wheels had to have 2 passengers.AWhat would you do if a Greyhound bus emptied its toilets on your car?
HOV means High Occupany Vehicle, and I think a motorcycle is HOV once you have a rider ... I certainly think lawmakers would never insist a motorcycle have 2 riders to be HOV, since that is more dangerous.
Have a great day!
