Would a nuclear ferry be feasible?

Question:
I ride a ferry to and from work ten times a week. There are always discussions about the cost of fuel and raising the rider's rates. Would a nuclear ferry be more cost effective and environmentally friendly? Are there any in the world?

the cost would not be productive ... a steam engine would be better and cost less to operate and be safer to the nuke-pollution factor...

what is the different between a highway and a freeway?

I would say no. The military uses reactors in its Subs and Aircraft Carriers because of the large distances need to traverse between refueling. A large staff of trained proffesionals have to monitor the reactor 24/7 and I don't think a Ferry service could absorb the large cost of operating one for the short distances they cover.
