Is the Philadelphia subway safe generally?
It depends on where you live. I live in a rural area and it is standard practice to do so. I can imagine metropolitan areas don't do this any longer (unless it is for a dignitary or soldier killed in action; those tend to be exceptions even in larger cities) but it is common courtesy here and means a lot to the families of the deceased.heck no.. thats leftover from the 1950s and 60s
Its just common courtesy. It is an old tradition to pull over, but with alot of people always in a hurry it seems to be less and less of an occurance to see both lanes stop. Maybe someone should try to get a law made to have people pull over. processions try to take non-busy roads to not cause traffic congestion. I guess I just have been brought up correctly to be courteous to others and have pulled over cause I am not that much of a hurry that I cant pull over for a minute or 2 for a percession to pass.
why do some people never have there money ready when they buy a ticket for public transprt?
The only thing I won't do is get in the middle of a funeral procession. But given that it's on a 4 lane highway I will not stop no matter which way I am going. The law just says you have to yield to any vehicle displaying a funeral flag as it drives through an intersection under red light conditions. I have never heard of a law that says you have to pull over and stop for one.I have never seen people pull over. You definitely don't interrupt the procession, but you can follow behind it. Maybe that's b/c it's heavily congested where I live....
If you own a prius, what is the average mileage you are getting?
Of course not. Nobody has to stop, just don't pull out into the middle of it.More Questions & Answers ...
