MRT train stations elevator?

at some MRT train stations, the elevator doors are at opposite sides. wads the point since they can be built on the same side thus eliminating the need for 2 doors?

You got a point there. I just went into one the other day, coz I was carry a large bag. I just go in facing the other door and walk out when it reach the station level. You see, the elevator is very small space, so if a wheelchair person dont need to reverse to came out. They just need to move forward when they reach their level.
