I do home health care I was told that you can use gas or milage as a wright off?
The number one way is to synchronize the traffic lights. I have to drive through a town that actually deliberately "un" synchronizes them to discourage through traffic, even though it's the only route you can take. It not only snarls traffic, it wastes gas and increases pollution.why is the right lane the slow lane?
The number two way is to make dedicated right turn lanes at intersections, so you don't hold up a mile of traffic waiting for a pedestrian to get out of the way before you make a right turn.
The number three way is stop driving bumper to bumper just to keep others from changing lanes! It's also impossible to avoid rear ending the guy in front of you if someone hits him, causing a multicar pile-up that backs up traffic in rush hour for miles.

For drivers
is there a sat nav system that tells you speed limits not just at camera sites?

i'm a new driver how long did it take you to get good without getting nervous how many months?
* While driving do not talk
on mobile phones to your acquaintances
* Stay in traffic speed limits and slow down on turns.
* Look left and right twice, and go slow on crossings.
* When turning left... look at the rearview mirror, give indicator, blow the horn, and take turn while staying in your lane (Try to stick to the side)
* Stay in your Lane, and use the correct signals. Don't leave your line.
* Notice all the traffic signs you see on your way, and act appropriately.
* When taking circles... give way to your right.
* Don't assume that the other motorists know your intention. It is always necessary to give proper signals while starting, turning, slowing, and parking your vehicle.
* On crossings without control system (Traffic Lights), give adequate opportunity to pedestrians (the people walking on the road) to avoid accidents.
* Be careful of pedestrians who walk in between vehicles (i.e.. not on zebra crossing), outside schools and bus stops.
* When encountering animal-driven vehicles, give enough place by slowing down, and do not sound horn, because it may scare the animal and it may run amuck.
* When the road is divided by White Lines, then stay to the left. If needed, you may cross the line.
(b) When the road is divided by Yellow Lines, then stay to the left. You shall, in any case, not cross the line.
* It is mandatory for every motorist to give way immediately to any Ambulance or Fire Engine. It is a duty of each citizen, to cooperate for saving lives.
* Without permission of a policeman on duty, nobody is allowed to drive vehicles on special pathways made for cycles or pedestrians.
* At an U turn the driver must be careful, and should confirm it is safe to turn by looking in the rearview mirror. U turns are not allowed on busy roads. Proper signal for turning right must be given.
* Be careful and look on the road when taking your vehicle out of garage. Take someone's help if necessary.
* Park your vehicle only where parking is allowed. Do Not park in places like: crossings, turns, corners, high speed ways, corners of hilly roads, footpaths, bus stop, school, railway level crossing gates, opposite direction to road, specially at night.
* During the night, when any vehicle, bicycle, or an animal driven vehicle approaches you, turn your headlights to 'dim' position and keep your vehicle slow.
* Never park a vehicle on a railway line. When crossing a railway track without a gate, listen carefully and look around to see if a train is coming. Go further only when confirmed
* The horn must not be used unnecessarily repeatedly, and annoyingly. It shall not at all be used in silent zones like Hospitals, etc. Cutouts and Multi-horns are not allowed. No unusual sounds from a moving vehicle will be allowed.
* Keep appropriate distance from the vehicle moving ahead of you, so that there is enough place to stop your vehicle without damage, in case the vehicle ahead stops abruptly.
* Give importance to vehicle ahead of you when driving on a hill or on a slope. In this case, when the road is not wide enough to allow overtaking, give space to any vehicle overtaking, by stopping your vehicle to a side. It is advised not to overtake in intense situations on hilly roads.
* The motor vehicle driver must not allow any passenger or object to be placed in such a way that the driver's control over the vehicle is reduced.
* While crossing any demonstrations, or Army or Police Force (on foot), or any road construction site, speed should not exceed 25 km/h
* Seating passengers more than allowed by the registration certificate is prohibited and can be penalised.
* Vehicles are not allowed to use any non-standard explosive, dangerous, polluting, fuel (like Aviation fuel, etc.)
Any violations can be penalised by the Traffic Police, or can prove fatal to you or your passengers, or to other people on the road. Remember, these rules are a question of life and death, a question of humanity.

* Old, feeble and/or handicapped people must be helped while crossing the street.
* Be very cautious while crossing the street. If you find a vehicle speeding towards you, you must wait patiently instead of rushing forward.
* While driving motorbikes and scooters wear helmets. Even pillion riders must wear helmets to reduce the chances of any head injury in case an accident occurs.
* Avoid throwing broken glass pieces, sharp metal pieces, banana skins, oils or lubricants on the roads. They might cause two-wheelers to skid, passers-by might slip and fall, and car tyres might get deflated.
* Carry on limited conversation while walking through a busy road or street. Remember your safety is of utmost importance. A slight unmindfulness or carelessness could lead to accidents.
* People, especially children must not venture out on busy main roads with bicycles. It would be dangerous to be so foolhardy and adventurous.
* Parents and guardians must not permit children to drive any kind of vehicle (2 or 4 seaters) even on lonely, open roads, unless they have attained the age of 18 and have gathered some confidence about handling a vehicle independently.
