Question:
I have a one bedroom apt and will be using a truck and a pull behind 6*12 UHAUL trailer to move. Do you think I can fit everything in it? I have all the normal stuff 32' TV, queen bed, computer desk, couch.

What is the average speed of someone walking?
Measure stuff. 6x12 seems kinda too small. If I recall U-haul pricing, they don't charge that much more for a bigger trailer.Online Carpooling List/Resource?
Drive a lot slower. It may be the same pickup truck you always drive, but it's NOT -- now it's a "rig". It handles TOTALLY differently, brakes totally differently and accelerates like *$!@#$.
Does anybody know if there is any mass transit from Stamford to Tarrytown?
Think very carefully about getting out whenever you go to park. Generally your best play is do the move in one shot. Don't visit people enroute. Fuel only at truck stops. Use pull-through semi-truck parking spots and act like a semi truck. You are a semi-truck.
When I trailered and I urgently needed windshield wiper blades, I stopped at an RV supply which not surprisingly had a parking lot suitable for RVs. Worked real well.
Why does gas cost more at Exxon?
The trailer probably says '45 mph'. They mean it! because it's a piece-o-junk rental trailer. Even if you load it right, it's likely to shake, waddle and drift all over the road at speeds faster than 45. Don't push it. Plan for your trip taking that much longer. The other reason to go slower is that it's easier on your truck. Breaking down while on the road with a trailer would suck. Oh, and have a lock to lock the trailer door with, so you can leave it unattended.
Does any one no were i can get a motorised scooter from?
If you feel your automatic transmission "hunting", flipping between gears like it can't decide what's the best gear, manually downshift to the lower gear. Allowing it to hunt will take years off the transmission's life.
With some good packaging skill sure i think so...

Does anyone feel lost when the street signal lights give out?
I believe you can.I would place all the heaviest stuff in the truck first and keep it low to the floor. This will help everything fom getting 'Top Heavy' Use small things as 'fillers' for those odd empty spaces. If travelling far, be sure to stop and check trailer hitch ( fairly often) for secure connection.Be sure all lights are working for both day and night time conditions.Try to avoid 'Parking' on the side of a Highway.Use Rest Areas and or Truck Stops.Bring along flashlights and bottled water for those unexpected breakdowns.Have a safe move! When you are waiting at the Traffic Lights, do you pick your Nose?
Do the math. Take each piece and find the amount of space it takes up. Then add them together and then find the total space available in the trailer. If you have less total cargo than the total space available, then it will fit.Ask the people at U-Haul- this IS what they do after all.
