Question:
I hope to get a large engine, but I don't know if getting one that is big enough to warrant me having to get a motorcycles license. What engine size requires this? Also, what is typical insurance? Lower, or higher than motor vehicle insurance? Also, do they last as long as cars, or less? Are tag/title costs lower than a car? or higher?
Answers:
Can a city cop pull someone over on an interstate highway?
I believe that if it can exceed 30 mph and has an engine larger than 50cc you will need a MC endorsement on your license. MC Insurance is considerably lower than auto. Tags are cheaper. As far as life span, it depends on how well you take care of it. Below is a link to the Texas DOT.How do you calculate how much gas mileage you get?

Your best bet would be to contact the Texas State Division of Motor Vehicles, As far as costs, anything motorized needs a license to drive. So you may as well get a MC License.Costs for Registration and Insurance are far much less than Autos. Happy Motoring (smile)
Why are vehicles driven on opposite sides of the road in certain countries?
In California, you need a motorcycle license for such a thing. Check with your DMV. I have never been, nor do I have any interest in, going to Texas, so I have no idea what your laws are.More Questions & Answers ...
