speed bumps have helped stop people from speeding on our street. the only time it is noisier is when they dont see it and the bottom of their car goes tha-thunk!Do you think gas Will be over 4.00 a gallon in the US this summer?
We don't have speed bumbs we have large dips. They work most of the time to keep traffic decent. I don't know about house value we've had them since I bought the house. No extra noise.Traffic Delays in Chicago I-90 Tomorrow? Any clue?
yes it has slowed traffic for the people who know they are there (my street is very well traveled and the orange/yellow paint has long since faded) but i feel really bad for the few visitors who end up losing their mufflers doing 30 accidentally! lolCan you provide the approximate cost of a taxi from lax to the port where cruise ships dock?
Yes, they do slow down traffic. If the neighborhood has kids playing, then they are definitely a good thing. Of course some people will speed regardless of any obstacle in place. Last year I witnessed a 4 year old girl that was hit by a van, She's OK now but it makes you think.Those that "accidental lose their mufflers" by missing speed bumps can and should sue the city for the cost of repairs. If you have a speeding problem on a street, it needs to be better patrolled, not ruined with risers in the road which only damage suspension components.
