Question:
This is our first week of the carpool. The drive is a 25 mile trip and we bring him to and from school Mon.-Fri. The use of the H.O.V. lane was already available to us before the carpool, and there are no plans for trading off. What is a fair and efficient fare for the carpooling? We'd like to be compensated for service and gasoline (since we'd rather have trade-off system). Any ideas will be helpful.
Does anyone know what year the borough of Queens N.Y.changed from street names to numbered streets?
Thanks.

.43cents per mile.Depending on the MPG of your vehicle, you can charge whatever the cost of a gallon of gas. If your car gets 25mpg, you can charge the price of one 1 gallon. If your mpg is more or less, you could adjust the price for that.
if public transportation is available (assuming yes since you have HOV lane), then charge what the bus would charge for a round trip.
Best Route for Bus Number 460???
A fair charge would be the amount of gas it takes to get back and forth weekly also add in a percentage of the amount it takes for maintenance because if this person had his/her own transportation he or she would have to pay this for his or her own vehicle.More Questions & Answers ...
