Do you take public transportation to work? If your area had a good mass transit system, would you take it to work rather than driving?

i most certainly do...i think it's the less stressful..and cheapest way to get to work.i mean... yeah i would love to drive...in a quiet car with no shoving...or bags poking me in the back...but hey. who wants to spend time looking for parking that doesn't exist...

Driving downtown?

No, I live in the middle of no-where-ville! So it is either walk all day, maybe ride a bike for half the day or take the car and get there! If our area had a mass transit system I would defiantly take it to work or school but I don't see that happening!

Yep Im in Portland ORegon and we have Tri-met. It is the best mass transit ever. Saving a lot of gas.

Is 3 miles too far?

The only way to get everybody on mass transit is to have it pick them up within three blocks of where they are leaving from or going to. People don't want to walk a mile to wait in the rain for an hour then walk a mile to get to the office. If you have to drive your car ten miles or more to a park and ride, then you may as well go on to work, plus you don't have as far to walk when you get there.
