I use buses almost every day of the week to get around and buy their weekly tickets. However I think the prices are ridiculous ! and the buses are often dirty or messy. And then if you don't get a seat you have to stand and do the drivers pay attention to the 'MAX STANDING' rule ? NO! often you are squashed together like sardines.
And then once I was standing near the front of a bus and got off for a few seconds to let some poor person get off the bus with her pram who was getting rushed by the driver - when I went to go back ok he driver made a disgusting face and said to me 'think your getting on the bus free?' and I said politely that I just got off to let the person with the pram off but yet he held up the bus while i got out my ticket (which gives me unlimited free travel on that bus) and he then examined it and gave it back saying 'ok'.
Why no Public Transportation Weekends & Holidays?
seriously sorry about the rant but what are your views on Public transport ? buses etc ?

It is freedom of a different kind when u use public transport. You do not need to worry about crossing lane ,steering wheel,brake, funky drivers on the road.. with TTC in Toronto u get to view places, people and enjoy books/music.. great way. Why bother about sardines.. be in your own world... and enjoy.
Don't need to say more... of course u must live in centre of the city... and that is where the life is.
Why do you insist on driving an SUV ?
They are OK, but it depends on what part of the country you live in too. If things are spread out, it makes it more diffucult to use public transporation.Personally, I want to go where I want to go when I want ot go and leave when I want. I don't like giving up my personal freedom.
Definatley support it. My hope is unrealistic, but I would hope that it will become more attractive to more people so as to get them to use it more often. My reasons for this are selfish and have nothing to do with helping the environment. I'm just tired of the incredible rising amount of stupid drivers. They are everywhere.
Does it really hurt to slow down inorder to be safe? I think not!

I use public transportation only when I have to, because it doesn't go where I need it when I need it. I took the bus from the dealer to home, and from home to the dealer when my car was in the shop. It's not the most pleasant way to travel, and I wouldn't want to do it every day, but I would never berate it because it was there when I needed it. Everyone has a rant about public transportation, but remember that everyone on the bus has a reason for being on the bus, be it a happy reason or a sad reason. As far as the bus driver scrutinizing your ticket, be glad he does. You see one or two bus drivers every day. He sees hundreds of people, and some of them are trying to get a free ride. I rode the Metrolink train one day with my kids, just for fun, and a family got kicked off the train because they didn't have tickets. It's a criminal federal offense if the conductor wants to press charges, but instead they just got booted. When you consider fuel, maintenance, insurance, and parking, the cost of riding public transportation looks pretty good if you can make it work.
