How easy/possible is it to live in Huntsville, TX without a car?

Question:
I'm asking this because I may be getting an offer for a job there, and I don't drive (I walk, bike, take buses and taxis). How useable is the public transportation there, and how bad is being car-less if you'd like to take a trip to someplace with something more to do (say, Houston)?

Answers:

What is the best lane to drive in during heavy traffic?

I don't live in Huntsville but i have been through there many times down to Huston. I hardly ever saw a bus there, and they don't have a rail system. Even most of the large city's in Texas don't have very good public transportation. I live in Fort Worth and all we have is buses. Dallas has Just started a rail system, and i know that Huston has a rail system. The problem with living in Texas is that the city's are spread out so big, and it is hard to get around without a car. If you do get a car make sure that to air conditioning works really good, because you will need it.

Road rage?

Getting around in TX without a car would be like trying to get around New York City without using the subway.
