Question:
I moved from Philadelphia to the Detroit area a few years ago and I have never seen so many rude people. Examples:
1 When you put your turn single on...people speed up instead of letting you over. Why?
2. People insist on driving right on your rear end...Why?
3. If you are in the store and someone can't get by you instead of saying excuse me they just bump into you and never say sorry. Why? It's not difficult to say excuse me!
4. Michigan people are always complaining about something, you can never strike up a conversation with someone without having to complain
5. When you change your address in Michigan what's up with the sticker on the back of your license? Can't they afford to give you a new license without having to wait for it to expire?
6. What's up with no left hand turns? you have to drive 2 miles out of your way just to go left. No wonder so many people are in a hurry!

Train from Luton to Charing Cross?
You are generalizing too much. The people in small town Michigan or much different than the people in Detroit. If your question is "why are Detroit people so rude?" then I'd have to answer that it's because they live in Detroit. Let's face it, Detroit is a crap hole place to live. I've been there a few times and thought it sucked each time. I have friends who went there and they all had the same impression. When you get out to the smaller towns or rural areas you will probably find just the opposite. Pretty much the whole U.P. is friendly and courteous in my experience. Why are Michigan people so rude?
I've been all over the U.S., and while I wouldn't say that overall Michigan has the friendliest people in the country, but they are certainly ranked pretty high in that regard.
How much is Mileage reimbursement for Michigan??
Because they're pissed that they were beat by OSU!! :o)Can trucks be driven on Chicago's Lakeshore Drive?
I don't have a reason for why they are so rude. But you are right in one thing: different states have their own "culture". Many people think that the whole USA is the same and that everyone acts the same. But I know what you mean because I visited Maryland once and the people there seemed much nicer than the people from the state that I live in. I think that it is really bizarre that all of the states have their own culture. I really want to know too why that is.we are pissed at the goverment for losing all our jobs. but you are right plp in the bigger cities WILL RUN YOU OFF THE ROAD. try some of the smaller towns some of the best plp in country.
are all michigan service departments slow this year?
I totally agree with you! Michigan people need to get a life, grow up and kinder to their Michiganders. You know what's really bad is that no matter what business you enter the employees working their are so unfriendly. If they don't like their job than they shouldn't be there. Another thing where I work no matter how friendly you are people ALWAYS find something to complain about. GET OVER IT!More Questions & Answers ...
