I might have been caught going over the speed limit while overtaking a car infront of me. I did 75 in a 70 area i think (Dual Carriageway), then i saw the camera, but it didnt flash me! Do they speed cameras work constantly on dual carriage ways or not?

Firstly All speedometers on cars never show your correct speed. This is because manufacturers set them to read from 3mph-10mph more than what you are actually doing. (the majority are set to 4.5mph increase)

Secondly, the police will not be able to get a successful prosecution if you are within 10% of the limit. 75mph is under the 77mph prosecution (and if you take into account the average 4.5% speed increase - you were probably doing 70.5% - hardly a prosecuting offence!)

Thirdly - not all cameras have film in them. Sometimes they flash but no picture is taken.

If the camera was FACING you it was a digital one and so does not flash. If if was behind you you might have got away with it if it didn't flash.L.A. to Temecula with traffic? How long?
Even with with the digital you might be ok if you were onlt 5 mph over. Its just a case of waiting.

The camera's are set to allow a 10% allowance, and normally a few miles more in case. Also if you have a normal dashboard with a needle speedometer, then by 70MPH they tend to be inaccurate and a little optimistic so your real speed was likely to be around 70MPH anyway.what about future expansions of delhi metro ?
As a general rule, you are not likely to get collared unless you are over the 10% + 3mph guideline. This tolerance is there because a car's speedometer is not 100% accurate. If you look in a Police motorway car, you will see that the speedomter has a calibration label on it.You should be OK you are usually allowed 10% over the limit with a rear facing camera ( the ones that flash ).
Stop worrying about it you are not doing yourself good.
Just bear it in mind next time you decide to speed.

Generally the radar is set for 10 to 15 mph. over the speed limit for a little margin of error/forgiveness.Wait 2 weeks, if no letter you are Ok.
Not all cameras flash, so that is no guarantee it didn't get you, however 75 mph is within the accepted margin of error so it is very unlikely anything will come of it.
