When I use the c/p lane, or any other lane, I never go more than 5 over the limit. This annoys some people, but sorry 'bout that. Tailgate me, and I'll slow to the speed limit. DON'T tailgate, and I'll move over when it's convenient.

Yes, I know I'm setting myself up for a ticket and I've had my fair share of speeding tickets every few years. I can't seem to avoid it. Those tickets were usually issued when no one was on the road and I felt free as a bird.

The population dominates the polce force so it's not enfoced unless your'e weaving really bad or waving a gun out of the windowIt's not just in L.A. Dallas, TX has the same problem. It's probably because the people in carpool lanes rationalize that since there are fewer of them, and they are doing something good, they should be rewarded and allowed to drive at a faster speed than regular traffic. It's kind of like how people drive faster on toll roads. They figure since they are paying for it, why not go any speed they want. Elitism spills onto the road in many forms...
